Peanut Butter and Banana Sandwich

Ingredients:
2 slices of wheat bread
1 whole banana
2 teaspoons of peanut butter
Directions to prepare:
  1. Spread the peanut butter on the bread.
  2. Cut your banana into slices and put on the peanut butter bread.

10 minutes

This yummy snack provides a serving of wheat, protein, and fruit.

    Nachos

    Ingredients:
    10 tortilla chips
    1/2 cup salsa
    1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    olives
    Utencils:
    baking sheet, spoon, oven mit
    Directions to prepare:
    1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
    2. Spread tortilla chips on baking sheet.
    3. Using a spoon spread salsa over the tortilla chips.
    4. Sprinkle with cheese and olive pieces.
    5. Bake for about 5 minutes.
    6. You can also prepare nachos on a plate and microwave on high for 30 seconds if you don't want to use the oven.

    10-15 minutes

    This is a yummy snack that is also fun to eat. Cheese provides protein and calcium. Tomatoes in the salsa are a great source of the antioxidant lycopene. Olives are high in fat, but it is a monounsaturated fat which is a heart healthy fat!
